Rapoport Weisberg & Sims, P.C. was retained on behalf of the family of a young woman killed in a mid-air collision involving a Part 135 Tour Operator flying a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver and a Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser. All seven crew and passengers aboard both aircraft were killed as a result of the collision. The crash resulted in an extensive review of potential causes by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), resulting in a safety recommendation being made to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that is require the installation of ADS-B traffic awareness and alerting gear on all Part 135 on-demand charter operations.
