An Illinois hospital settled a medical malpractice case involving personal injury to a then 14-year-old girl. Following bilateral knock-knee surgery, the hospital replaced a lower leg cast. Post-operatively, Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C.’s client complained of signs and symptoms compatible with compartment syndrome, which were not promptly treated. Our medical malpractice client was discharged home only to return to the hospital five days later. Subsequently, the lower leg cast was removed revealing damage to the skin and tendons of our client’s right foot and ankle.
