Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. has filed a lawsuit against two Chicago area hospitals and their emergency room physicians for failing to timely and properly diagnose and treat a woman’s infection. After being sent home from the first hospital’s emergency room in a matter of minutes, her condition worsened and she was taken to a second hospital, where after several hours she went into cardiac arrest due to upper airway obstruction and septic shock. The woman is now in a coma and has sustained a severe brain injury.
