A lawsuit has been filed in DuPage County, Illinois, on behalf of a 38-year-old man who sustained serious and permanent injuries after being rear-ended in an auto collision on August 27, 2013. At the time of the accident, the plaintiff’s vehicle was stopped in traffic in the westbound lanes of I-88 in York Township, when the defendant failed to stop and crashed his vehicle into the back of the plaintiff’s vehicle at a high rate of speed. The defendant’s vehicle crashed into the plaintiff’s vehicle with enough force to cause it to propel into a third vehicle, and to cause the third vehicle to propel into a fourth vehicle. As a result of the collision, the lawsuit brought by Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. alleges the plaintiff has suffered permanent and disabling injuries, and seeks compensatory damages for medical expenses, caretaking expenses, loss of earnings, disability, pain and suffering.
