David Rapoport is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA) and is Board Certified* in Medical Malpractice. David is the only plaintiffs’ medical malpractice lawyer in Illinois with this qualification. ABPLA was formed in 1972 as a resource to assist the public in finding malpractice attorneys with superior knowledge and expertise to handle the highly technical litigation. The American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys is the only organization accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) to certify attorneys in the area of medical malpractice. Candidates for Board Certification are screened through a rigorous process of objective measures in five key areas:
- Experience
- Ethics
- Education
- Examination
- Excellence
Detailed information about the certification requirements is available on the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys website.
*Board certification is not required to practice law in Illinois, and the Illinois Supreme Court does not recognize specialties in the practice of law.
