Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. is proud to announce David Rapoport has been elected as President of the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (NBLSC), a non-profit organization accredited by the American Bar Association to provide board certification for attorneys in civil trial advocacy, civil pretrial practice, criminal trial advocacy, family trial advocacy and Social Security Disability. The NBLSC is the largest national attorney certification board. The 19 members of the Board of Directors are nationally renowned trial lawyers, educators and judges who are each dedicated to bettering the quality of trial advocacy in our nation’s courtrooms and helping consumers find experienced and highly qualified trial lawyers.
Mr. Rapoport is enthusiastic about continuing to work with his colleagues on the Board to further advance the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification in its mission to promote excellence in legal advocacy for the benefit of the public through a national program certifying specialists predicated on high standards of demonstrated competence and integrity.
A leader of the movement to encourage board certification for lawyers for more than 20 years, Mr. Rapoport served as President Elect of the organization for the last two years, and was the Illinois State Coordinator for more than a decade prior to that. David Rapoport has been Board Certified* in Civil Trial Advocacy by the NBLSC since 1990 and he has proven his currency and substantial trial experience through recertification in 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010.
