Rapoport Law Offices, P.C., files wrongful death case based on medical malpractice after delivery of a baby girl

Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Adams County, Illinois, against a hospital and pediatrician for negligent treatment of a baby girl after labor and delivery. The lawsuit alleges the defendants failed to order a chest X-ray on a STAT basis, failed to ensure the chest X-ray was timely performed and reported, failed to timely diagnose and treat coarctation of the aorta, failed to investigate a heart murmur, failed to perform a blood pressure test, and failed to check the baby’s blood pressure and evaluate the cause of the baby’s failure to thrive, and as a result of this negligence, the baby died.
