Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. partner Michael L. Teich has been appointed Lead Counsel on behalf of a group of victims of defective heparin-filled syringes by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. District Court Judge Gary Feinerman appointed Mr. Teich to the Lead Counsel position for 61 individuals from multiple states who suffered injury after exposure to the contaminated syringes sold by Medical Suppliers of the Americas.
This is the second time a court has selected Mr. Teich for a leadership position in the defective syringe litigation. Mr. Teich had previously been appointed Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel by the Circuit Court of Cook County in a related case brought by victims of the contaminated syringes.
