Chicago personal injury and aviation negligence lawyer David E. Rapoport received a warm welcome from the members and attendees of the Kentucky Justice Association at their Continuing Legal Education Seminar on Loss of Consortium. Mr. Rapoport was honored to be asked to participate, delivering a lecture entitled, Consortium on Trial: The Hebert v. Comair Case, which drew on his experience leading a Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. trial team to a recent verdict of $7.1 million in favor of the family of a man who was killed in the Comair airplane crash at Blue Grass Airport in Kentucky, which included $5 million in loss of parental consortium damages to the passenger’s two teenage daughters. This aviation negligence case was tried in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky at Lexington before an eight-member jury and received considerable media attention in Kentucky.
