At approximately 12:38 a.m. on October 23, 2009, a pair of newlyweds that had just arrived in Chicago for their honeymoon were involved in a one vehicle accident when their cab driver lost control of his car and smashed into the concrete wall alongside Interstate 90 in Chicago, Illinois. The impact caused the 31-year-old husband to sustain severe injuries, including multiple facial fractures. The 31-year-old woman sustained a broken nose and dental and orthodontic problems. The couple was represented by Rapoport Weisberg Sims & VanOverloop P.C. who obtained a settlement of $350,000 on their behalf, which was all of the available insurance in the case. Attorney Joshua L. Weisberg served as lead counsel.
