On June 26, 2006, a nursing home resident fell at the nursing home sustaining a subdural hematoma causing her death the next day. A lawsuit was filed by her family in the Circuit Court of Kane County, Illinois, alleging the fall was due to a negligence of the nursing home for failing to assist and supervise the resident given the instability caused by her multiple pre-existing debilitating conditions. Today, this lawsuit was settled for $500,000. The plaintiff was represented by Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. Attorney Joshua Weisberg served as lead counsel.
