At approximately 9:30 a.m. on August 23, 2006, a collision occurred between a southbound semitruck and an eastbound Chevrolet Trailblazer at the intersection of I-394 and Steger Road in Crete, Illinois. Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. attorneys David Rapoport and Paul Richter reached a $2 million settlement with the trucking company on behalf of the plaintiff in this case. With expert witness reconstruction Rapoport Weisberg & Sims P.C. established that the semitruck driver failed to slow for a yellow light, and entered the intersection on a red light at 55-56 mph, smashing into the Trailblazer. The semitruck crash resulted in serious injuries to the plaintiff including a left-sided orbital fracture, multiple rib fractures, pelvic fractures and permanent leg shortening. Fortunately the plaintiff recovered well from her injuries.
